Planet Trails, the number-path game in Solar Puzzles, is now a YouTube Playable, the second of the five games to get there after Planet Rescue. YouTube reviewed it and accepted it. Open it inside YouTube, on your phone or on a computer, and the first chart flies itself to show you how. It is free, and there is nothing to install.

The cover you will see on YouTube.

One trail through every sector

A probe has to photograph a patch of sky. Draw one unbroken flight through every sector of the chart, touch the numbered beacons in order, and land on the world the trip is for. One finger, one line, no clock. It is the calm game of the collection, the one for a child lying on the floor and thinking ahead. Dragging backwards erases, and a move that would break the flight simply does not happen.

  • All forty charts in three groups, from first steps to skies with rocks and comets in the way. The first chart is flown by the game itself, and a chart left untouched for a few seconds shows the next two sectors.
  • A Daily Puzzle, one chart a day, the same for everyone.
  • Mystery Flights, new charts made up on the spot once every chart is cleared.
  • The Space Museum. Every chart adds star points, and the points open the planets, with real photographs and true facts.

In the apps, Planet Trails is the game that lives mostly inside the Space Pass: the Training charts are free and the rest is part of the pass. On YouTube the whole game is free.

What is different on YouTube

  • Your progress stays with YouTube. Charts, star points and museum finds save to your YouTube account, so you can come back to the same place later.
  • YouTube controls the sound and the pause. Mute and pause belong to YouTube, so the game has no sound switches of its own there.
  • Now and then, a short ad. YouTube may show an ad between charts, never in the middle of one. When your hearts run out, you can also choose to watch a video for one more heart, or simply wait for it as usual. The Solar Puzzles apps and the browser demo have no ads.

Same build, one more place

Planet Trails is the same Kotlin Multiplatform code that runs the Android app and compiles to WebAssembly for the browser demo on upflygames.com. The YouTube build wraps it in the small shell we wrote for Planet Rescue, which talks to the Playables SDK: first frame ready, progress to the cloud, pause when YouTube pauses. The shell did not change; only the game inside it did. If you are thinking about a game for Playables, this is the kind of work we do.
