The short version: CycleWingman does not collect your data. Everything you enter stays on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
What data the app works with
CycleWingman lets you enter information about a partner's menstrual cycle to generate lifestyle forecasts: a partner's first name (or any label you choose), an icon, cycle start dates, average cycle length, and contraception type. You may also mark Premium (Wingman+) status.
You enter this information voluntarily. Before adding a partner, the app asks you to confirm that your partner is aware of and comfortable with you keeping this information.
Where the data lives
- On your iPhone — all data is stored locally on your device, inside the app's private storage.
- On your Apple Watch — if you use the watch app, the same data is transferred directly from your iPhone to your paired watch using Apple's device-to-device WatchConnectivity channel, and is stored locally on the watch. It does not pass through our servers — we do not have servers.
We cannot see, access, or recover your data. It never leaves your devices.
What we do NOT do
- No accounts and no sign-in.
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
- No advertising and no ad identifiers.
- No selling, sharing, or transferring data to anyone.
- No third-party SDKs that receive your data.
Purchases
The Wingman+ subscription is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy governs payment processing: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Deleting your data
- In the app: Settings → "Reset onboarding" removes all locally stored forecast data on the iPhone and clears the paired Apple Watch.
- Completely: deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Health disclaimer
CycleWingman provides lifestyle estimates based on typical patterns. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and must not be used for contraception or fertility planning.
Children
CycleWingman is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 17 or older.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this page with a new effective date. Because the app has no way to contact you (we don't have your contact details), please check this page occasionally.
