The iPhone and iPad app collects no personal data. No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your game progress stays on your device. The optional feedback form, website hosting and support email are covered below.
Who we are
Lumen is a puzzle game made by Eximsol Sp. z o.o., trading as UpFlyDev, in Warsaw, Poland. This policy explains how we handle information in the iPhone and iPad app and the browser game.
The iPhone and iPad app
Lumen does not collect or transmit personal data from the app to us or to third-party partners. You do not need an account. The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
The Lumen Unlimited purchase
The optics workshop is free. Lumen Unlimited, which opens the other buildings and takes the limit off walks, is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google takes the payment and tells the app on your device that the purchase is yours. We do not receive your payment details or any other personal data, and the app checks the purchase on your device, not on a server of ours. It keeps the store's last answer on your device, so it opens the same way without a connection. The browser game has no purchase.
Game progress and settings
Completed puzzles, stars, coins, the walks you have taken, the buildings you reached before version 1.2 and your language preference are stored locally on your device. We cannot access these saved values, and Lumen does not sync them to our servers.
You can clear completed puzzles and coins using Settings → Reset Progress. This keeps your language preference and the buildings you reached before version 1.2. Deleting the app removes its local data; data included in device backups is managed through your device and Apple account settings.
If you send feedback
When you finish the last level, Lumen asks how you like the game. Answering is optional and changes nothing in the game. Whatever you answer, the game offers a feedback form hosted on Google Forms. If you like the game, it may also offer its App Store or Google Play page, and on iPhone and iPad it may ask Apple to show its own rating sheet. Settings asks the same question at any time: in the app a thumbs up there opens the game's App Store or Google Play page, and a thumbs down opens the feedback form. In the browser game both open the form. The form and the store pages open outside the app.
The form asks for a rating, one comment and the version of the game. Lumen fills in only the version line, with the platform, the app version, the language and your answer to the question, marked with the word settings when you answered it there. It contains nothing that identifies you, and the rating and the comment are yours to write. Opening the form sends a request, including your IP address, to Google as its host; submitting it sends your answers to Google Forms and to us. We read them to decide what to build next.
A rating or review you leave in Apple's sheet or on a store page goes to Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. Lumen is not told whether you left one.
The browser game and website
The browser game stores progress and language preferences in your browser's local storage. It does not send those saved values to us. Clear site data in your browser to remove them.
Opening the browser game or a page on upflydev.com requires a connection to our hosting provider, Netlify. Web requests include information such as your IP address, the requested page and browser details, which may be processed to deliver and secure the website. The main UpFlyDev website uses Google Analytics. The standalone Lumen browser game and this privacy page do not include that analytics script.
This privacy page uses Google Fonts to display its typeface. Loading the font sends a web request, including your IP address, to Google.
Links from the app open external websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices. Visiting them is optional and is not required to play the iOS app offline.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to answer your request. Please do not send information that is not needed for support. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Children's privacy
Lumen does not collect personal data from players, including children. The game has no accounts, chat or user-submitted content.
Changes and contact
If the way Lumen handles data changes, we will update this policy and its date. For questions about privacy, or to request deletion of information you sent by email, contact info@upflydev.com.
